Fair Trade Sale:

Time is Running Out – Run In on Oct. 5th

When I was up in Washington last week, my son said he is now paying more than $19 a pound for his favorite coffee. Have you tried the True Fair Trade – Equal Exchange coffee WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) sell on a once monthly basis? We’ll be in Pioneer Chapel again on Sunday, October 5th, following service, continuing to sell the current inventory at the earlier price. Coffee runs from $12.50 – $16 per pound depending upon the grind, size of bag, and regular or decaf.

You’ll have the satisfaction of a fine cup of coffee, and knowing you are supporting Fair Trade farmers as they care for their families. It’s a good thing. Fair Trade Chocolate bars are still only $4 per bar.

Hope to see you there. (Sorry – cash or check only. It keeps the cost down.)

St. James WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) continues to offer Coffee and Chocolate benefiting Fair Trade – particularly women farmers and small farm Fair Trade operations. WELCA has never sought to make a large profit; our mission is to buy true Fair Trade products supporting true Fair Trade farmers. WELCA also provides Fair Trade coffee for both congregational coffee hours and the St. James weekly staff. Your donations at our monthly sale coffee hour are always appreciated!

–Ann Tohlen – WELCA Coffee and Chocolate Lady

Each month St. James Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) sell fair trade goods in the Pioneer Chapel after worship. Your purchase of fairly traded coffee, tea, and chocolate help support farmers all over the world!
