Barbara Steege Memorial

We will gather for the memorial service for Barbara Steege, who died at age 91 on May 27th. It will be held at St. James on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at 11:00am. Our love surrounds daughter Beth and Barbara’s two grandchildren.

Barbara’s daughter Beth and the children will be with us from Bend, Oregon as we entrust Barbara to God. A reception will follow. While living in Portland, Barbara was involved in our St. James Book Group, Card Ministry and WELCA group. She often told the story of her first visit to St. James and encountering the welcoming spirit of Carl Cottingham and knew this was the church for her.
