A speaker from the Portland-Vancouver Sikh community will be at St. James the next two Sundays to “Let the Light Shine” on the Sikh community. He will share with us the origins, beliefs, and culture of the Sikh community both locally and globally. According to www.sikhs.org, “the Sikh religion today has a following of over 20 million people worldwide and is ranked as the world fifth largest religion. Sikhism preaches a message of Devotion and remembrance of God at all times, truthful living, equality of mankind, and denounces superstitions and blind rituals.” Plan to attend this insightful program starting at 11:00am in the Main Sanctuary.
