During this Advent and Christmas season we have many opportunities to celebrate at St. James. Consider inviting a friend to share in the special events of this season.

Advent Labyrinth Walk: Thursday, December 21st, 5:30pm
Celebrate the Winter Solstice with a walk in our new courtyard labyrinth, followed by a time of reflection, song and silence.

Advent Worship Service: Sunday, December 24th, 9:30am
Celebrate the fourth Sunday in Advent with the lighting of the last candle on the Advent wreath.

Christmas Eve Children’s Service: Sunday, December 24th, 4:30pm
This was a hit with the young families last year. The children’s excitement anticipates the joy of Christmas morning.

NOTE:  Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is cancelled due to inclement weather.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Sunday, December 24th, 11:00pm
Come early for the sacred music from the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah” for choir, soloists, and strings. The service, rich in carol singing, celebrates Christ’s birth among us.  Music starts at 10:30pm.

Christmas Day Service: Monday, December 25th, 10:00am
A joyous service celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Allelujah!

Carols and Cookies: Sunday, December 31st, 11:00am
Advent is over and we finally get to sing our favorite Christmas songs! This has become a popular event for members of St. James. And you might not even need a hymnal to sing along!

Bach Cantata Vespers: Sunday, January 7th, 2018, 5:00pm
Celebrate Epiphany as the St. James Bach Choir and Orchestra present Bach’s Cantata 28. A reception in the Pioneer Chapel follows the service.
