Ash Wednesday, this coming February 18th, initiates the rich Lenten Season at St. James and in our neighboring churches. Liturgies for Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion will take place at noon in the Pioneer Chapel and at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary.
Each succeeding Wednesday will feature our Annual Soup Supper and Worship journeys among the downtown churches, with meal at 6:15pm, followed by worship at 7:00pm. Our pastors will rotate pulpit responsibilities:
February 25 – First Baptist, with the Rev. Amber Nettleton from First Presbyterian preaching
March 4 – First Christian, with the Rev. Dr. David Wheeler from First Baptist preaching
March 11 – First Presbyterian, with Pastor Dennis Andersen from St. James preaching
March 18 – St. James Lutheran, with the Rev. Amy Piatt from First Christian preaching
March 25 – TBD!!!
