10:30am Worship, Main Sanctuary

11:30am-1:00pm, Elm Court Meals on Wheels Thanksgiving Meal, 1032 SW Main St. Portland

1:00-4:00pm, Thanksgiving Community Meal, Pioneer Chapel

How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? Slaving away in a hot kitchen, visiting with friends and family, eating deli turkey in your quiet apartment all alone? This year, consider coming to St. James for our annual Thanksgiving Community Meal, where the hours slaving away are actually fun, opportunities to visit with others abound, and where you’ll never have to think about the prospect of deli turkey! We will serve a hot, fresh meal to anyone from 1:00-4:00pm on Thanksgiving Day complete with turkey, ham, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and of course pie (in addition to other traditional Thanksgiving dishes!) Our neighbors at Elm Court serve a special Thanksgiving meal to persons over the age of 60 from 11:30am-1:00pm.

We need food donations and people to help with cooking, set-up, serving, and dishes! People are especially needed to help with clean-up from 4:00-6:00pm. Please sign up on the bulletin board, or call the front desk. Your donation of time and food helps us provide this important ministry to ourselves, our neighbors, and our friends!
