4 X 4 Piano Duet Series at St. James: 4 Friday Noon Concerts in August

The 13th annual summer Friday noon series of 4 X 4 concerts returns to St. James on August 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. The XX Digitus Duo, the Carlson-Jeffers Duo and the LeRoi Nickel Duo will all return for 45 minute programs of one piano, four-hand classics with a free-will donation at the door. All concerts begin at St. James Lutheran Church at 12:10pm and will be repeated at St. Luke – San Lucas Episcopal Church in Vancouver (426 E. 4th Plain Blvd. — Tel. # 360-696-0181) at 6:00pm.

August 4th:
Timothy and Nancy LeRoi Nickel,
Founders of the series and graduates of the Guildhall School in London.
Music of Schubert and Brahms.

August 11th:
David and Lauren Servias,
Oregon State University music faculty.
Music of Mozart, Bizet, Gershwin, and Bernstein.

August 18th:
XX Digitus Duo,
Maria Garcia & Momoko Muramatsu,
Graduates of the New England Conservatory of Music.
Music of Satie and Piazolla, plus Costa Rican salon works.

August 25th:
Carlson-Jeffers Duo,
Angela Carlson & Becky Jeffers,
Oregon State University music faculty.
Music of von Weber, Dvorak Slavonic Dances, 3 Leroy Andersen transcriptions.
